Welcome to Lyngen Havfiske & Tursenter

HavfiskeAt 70° north where Norway stretches of towards east, you will find Nord-Lenangen which is located North-West on Lyngen Peninsula. The mighty and beautiful Lyngsalps encircles this small countryside that winds along the edge of the fjord axis.

The mountain chain starts in North with Storgalten, and stretches along towards south and other fjords. This mighty landscape can offer pointy pinnacles, idyllically glaciers, and deep fjords rich on fish, open sea and fresh ocean air. You can enjoy this scenic nature during the winter as well as the summer.

In the wintertime, Northern Norway is known for the polar nights and Northern light. These two phenomenons are particularly pronounced north of the artic circle where darkness can prevail day and night.
In the summer, the midnight sun provides sunlight around the clock.

Fangst i LyngenThis typical Norwegian fishing town, was mainly built up on shrimp fishing which dates back to the 1950's. Here you will find old and long lasting traditions in the field of fishing.

Lungstuva is a place where Lyngenfjord and Ullsfjord meet.
This results in a special sea current that provides the area with a great variety of fish sorts, which makes this place a popular spot to fish for those who are eager for the great catch and would like to enjoy deep ocean fishing on it's best.
During the winter, the inner part of the fjord is frozen and gives great conditions for ice fishing.
It is possible to fish for anadrom fish for those who wish that.

The experience of fishing in the fjord right underneath the mountains in the Lyngstadtland is grand. You are practically fishing with the mountains hanging right above you.

If you are on the search for the undiscovered land, this is the place.
Lyngen Havfiske & Tursenter and the hospitable people of Lyngen welcomes you to a great stay!
